All religions require rules, limits and conditions in order to function and operate, and therefore, what you are experiencing is conditional love. The problem with religion is that they “define” what is, and is not love. By far the biggest false belief they would have you believe is that self-sacrifice is unconditional love. When you don’t accept or buy into these religious beliefs, you are free and empowered. If you're a Christian, are you limited and controlled by the beliefs of a Muslim, Buddhist or Taoist? Of course not! You might not even know what they are, so you are "free" of their "control" because it's not what you have learned and been made to accept as your truth. It's not a part of your Minds programs and beliefs.

Children are not born with their religious beliefs, they are taught them, and it depends on what their parents religious beliefs are. A child born to Muslim parents, but then adopted by Christians, would be brought up to be a Christian and have Christian values because that would be what they’re taught. Children that have not yet been indoctrinated with religious beliefs are truer to their Spiritual essence and in expressing unconditional love, which when they express their truth, most are not comfortable with. The older you get, the deeper you become entrenched in your beliefs that you accept as truths. The same old record and program is played over and over again, deepening what you believe is your faith, but are in reality, only false beliefs and judgments.

The life you have been experiencing has been with conditional love that has always felt lacking in some way or another. How can you ever find the unconditional love and truth that you seek when all you've ever known is love with conditions. As long as you accept your religious beliefs as the truth, nothing will change. For things to change, you need to be open to challenge your beliefs, not defend them. If you believe that your religion and beliefs are the unconditional love that you think they are, then why are you searching, and what are you searching for?
